Rice milling - present status

God is a perfectionist. So is his creation; Nature, where no two things are the same. We experience this is Rice Kernel. No two rice kernels are the same. It is the similarity in their appearance, physiological and chemical characteristics that make a flock homogeneous. This flock helps Rice Technologist device milling machines.

  • Parboiled Rice-Rice that has been partially boiled in the husk. The three basic steps of parboiling are soaking, steaming and drying. These steps make the rice easier to process by hand, while also boosting its nutritional profile, changing its texture, and making it more resistant to weevils.

  • 100% Broken Rice- 100% Broken Rice is fragments of rice grains that are broken during processing, transporting, or milling.

  • Non-Basmati Rice- It has a rich taste and fine aroma. Non- basmati rice comes in different sizes, some are long and slender, some are short and thick, some are like beads, and some may be round.

  • Silky Sortex Rice- It is a well milled, processed & cleaned product. The rice offers good taste as well as aroma. It appears very clean & premium in nature.

Process Of Working RicE Mill

Harvesting and Collection from Fields:

  • Rice is harvested from the fields.
  • After harvesting, the rice is dried in the sun for storage.

Pre-cleaning and Screening:

  • The rice undergoes pre-cleaning to remove impurities like insects, dust, and other foreign matter.
  • Next, the rice is screened and separated.

Husk Removal (Dehusking)

  • The husk is removed from the rice in the mill.
  • This process results in brown rice.

Polishing and Cleaning

  • The rice is polished and cleaned to improve its quality.
  • This step enhances the appearance of the rice.

Separation of White Rice:

  • In the final step, white rice is separated from any remaining bran or impurities.
  • The end result is the starchy, ready-to-eat white rice we enjoy! 🍚
